What's Current for 2012-2013

Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year at LPES. The elementary school counseling program has some great news.

Mental Health Counseling Intern: During the second semester, Mrs. Maria Leidig-Law  will again be working with Mrs. Michelfelder. Mrs. Leidig-Law will be working with the Primary Project program on Mondays and Fridays. During the first semester, Mrs. Leidig-Law was pursuing her C.A.S. degree in School Counseling from Plattsburgh State University. She graduated in December 2012. Now Mrs. Leidig-Law is pursuring a second master's degree in clinical mental health counseling.

Grade 3 Lego Club: Lego Club Group B starts Wednesay, February 6. This group will meet after school on Wedensdays through the end of May.

Counselor Availability

The school counselor, Mrs. Mary Michelfelder, is available Monday through Friday on days school is in session. Although her schedule is busy, she keeps flex-time available every day. Flex-time is time left open for meetings and phone calls with parents and/or community agencies.

The school counselor is available to parents and/or guardians of LPES students for short-term counseling support and consultation. For agency consultation other than DSS-Child Protective, a formal Consent to Release Information is necessary.
