Dental Days are back at LPES - May 15th, 22nd and 29th! Adirondack Health has received a grant that will enable them to bring their Mobile Dental Van to LPES. They will offer dental sealants to children in grades K - 3. Dental sealants are a preventive treatment consisting of applying a plastic material to one or more teeth for the purpose of preventing cavities. Consent and insurance packets went home with the students this week. Adirondack Health is required by the Department of Health to bill your insurance company under this grant. If you have no dental insurance, this grant will pay for services in full. Any questions are to be directed to Patricia Gero at 523-8306.
Here is the 2012-13 New York State Testing Schedule:
Grades 3 - 8 Math - Wednesday, April 24 - Friday, April 26
Grade 4 Science Performance Test - Thursday, May 30
Grade 4 Science written - Monday, June 3
Regarding photos of students - one of our main goals for the website is to have lots of photos of students and the various ways they are engaged throughout the school day. If you object to having your child's picture (no names will ever be used) appear on the school website, please contact Principal Javier Perez, by email at jperez@lpcsd.org, by phone at 523-3640, ext. 4502, or by sending a note in to school.
